For many fans to do everything on your own, change the engine oil of your vehicle is a regular task. However, most do not realize that this oil can be recycled and used for future oil changes. By using a short length of cotton rope as a filter, you can change quarts of used oil in fresh oil in your own garage within weeks.
Instructions
1 Cut the 2x4 so that it is of the same height as one of the gallon bottles.
2 Cut two squares of 10x10 wooden sheet.
3 Two square boards screwed at the ends of the 2x4. The end result should be a support with a flat bottom and a flat top which is about as high as one of the bottles.
4 Cut a piece of 2x4 that is 6 inches (15.23 cm) longer than the height of the two bottles together.
5 Cut a square 6x6 and 12x12 one wooden sheet.
6 Screw the two squares that you just cut into the ends of the 2x4. The end result should be a stand tall with a large flat base and a smaller flat top.
7 Place the smallest support in an area where you can leave for weeks.
8 Put one of the bottles on top of this support and placed the other on the floor right next to the support.
9 Fill the bottle top with used motor oil.
10 Place one end of the cotton rope to the bottom of the bottle used motor oil and the other end to the bottom at the bottom of another bottle as possible.
11 Make sure the cord is not in contact with the edge of the opening of any of the bottles. If you play, move the bottles so that they are closer to (or further, if necessary) to change the arc of the rope until they are not touching the edges of the bottles.
12 Place the highest support near the bottles and place the large sheet of plastic over them. Make sure the blade is not making any contact with the rope and that is long enough to touch the ground. This sheet should block any dirt or dust not to enter the bottle clean, so make sure the inside is clean and is blocking bottles surrounding environment.
13 Wait a couple of weeks for the oil to move to the lower bottle, then add 1 quart (0.94 liters) of fresh engine oil per 3 quarts (2.83 liters) of oil recycling .
